Taking Kids to a Brewery in Fargo-Moorhead
Six taprooms and the rule each one publishes about kids — who can come, until when — plus what there is to eat and when they are open.
Six taprooms in and around Fargo-Moorhead, sorted by the thing to know before you go: whether the kids can come, and until when. Every rule below is the taproom's own, read on its own site. Four set no cutoff as long as a parent is with the children, one sends them out at 8 p.m., and one does not say. All six sell something to eat, and five let you bring or order in more.
Kids welcome with a parent, no cutoff published
Each of these allows children for as long as it is open, provided a parent stays with them. None publishes an evening cutoff, but a special event can carry its own age rule, so check the events page before a late visit.
Junkyard Brewing Co.Moorhead
Children are allowed "when they are accompanied and supervised by an adult," in Junkyard's words, and its site names no cutoff time. Dogs stay on the patio, leashed. It no longer hosts food trucks: there is a pizza menu, Sol Ave Kitchen next door delivers to the taproom, and you are welcome to bring your own food. Junkyard's site also sells THC edibles and THC beverages.

Junkyard West FargoWest Fargo
Junkyard's second taproom, in a former bank building in downtown West Fargo, with a street-side patio and a rooftop one. The rule is printed under its hours: "21+ unless accompanied by a parent." Its FAQ asks that children stay with their parents and not run, shout or horseplay. It makes its own pizza, and you may bring outside food (not drinks) and your own board games. Two evening events on its calendar are billed 21+: a show on 24 October and a Halloween party on 31 October. It also has a THC drinks menu.

Swing Barrel Brewing Co.Moorhead
Minors are allowed "with a parent/legal guardian," and no cutoff is published. It is the one taproom here that still runs food trucks, in spring, summer and fall; year-round, Sol Ave. and Punk Chef Pizza deliver to the taproom, and you may bring your own snacks and takeout. Dogs are welcome, with a request to mind the size of the room and the small children who may be in it. The taproom is in historic downtown Moorhead, with a patio and a stage for local and touring musicians.

Wild TerraFargo
A cider and wine bar rather than a brewery, with beer on tap too, and the plainest welcome for children on this page: "Yes. please keep them chill." It keeps non-alcoholic drinks and family board games. It serves bar pizzas and snacks, and you may order in or bring outside food. Dogs only on the summer patio. No reservations. Closed Mondays.

Drekker Brewing CompanyFargo
"Accompanied minors are allowed in the taproom until 8pm every day," and the hours line in its site footer says it the other way round: "21+ after 8pm." It is part of Brewhalla, in an 1880 Northern Pacific locomotive repair building. The taproom sells only snacks, but food from Brewhalla next door can be brought in. Well-behaved dogs are allowed. Its 10am weekend opening is the earliest on this page, which makes it the one taproom here that works as a weekend-morning stop.
