Gyms With Childcare in Fargo-Moorhead
Which gyms take your child while you work out, at what age and for how much, and whether you can use one without joining.
Three things decide whether a gym works with a child along: the ages its childcare takes, what that costs, and whether you can get in without joining. The table answers all three, sorted by what childcare costs without a membership. Family Wellness is the only gym here where a parent with no membership can buy a day pass and use the childcare on the same visit. At YMCA of the Northern Sky and Courts Plus Community Fitness you need a membership first, and even then childcare may cost extra. Every figure is the gym's own, read on its own site.

At 2960 Seter Parkway. Drop-in childcare here is open to members and non-members alike, for children 2 weeks through 9 years, for up to two hours while you are in the building. You buy the visit at the front desk, and when the room is full there is a virtual waitlist that texts you when a spot opens. It has two indoor play structures and an outdoor one, and it is a screen-free room. A second drop-off on the same day needs two hours between visits.

YMCA of the Northern SkyFargo
Two branches: Fercho, downtown at 400 1st Ave S, and Schlossman, at 4243 19th Ave S. PlayTown takes children for up to two hours a day while you stay in the building, first come, first served. It is included only in the Family/Household Package membership; other members pay per child, and non-members and day-pass holders cannot use it. The Y's own pages disagree on the oldest child PlayTown takes: its PlayTown page says through 9 years, and the kids' areas pages for Fercho and for Schlossman both say through 8. Call before you go with an older child: (701) 293-9622. Beyond PlayTown, Fercho has a kids' gym with a ninja course and a gymnastics room, where an adult must stay with the children, and Schlossman a climbing wall and the Play Loft.

Courts Plus Community FitnessFargo
At 3491 S University Dr. Child Watch takes children 6 weeks to 8 years for up to two hours a day, and a parent must stay at Courts Plus. Book it by phone at (701) 237-4451, up to three days ahead, and book an evening: if nobody has reserved by 5pm, Child Watch closes at 5. It is a monthly add-on to a membership rather than included. The day pass is only for a member's guest; without a member, a visit needs a punch card, unless you live outside its 50-mile local area. There is an indoor playground and an outdoor one, and a Kids Night Out on the dates below.

Each gym prices childcare its own way, per visit or per month, so compare the units as well as the numbers. Sorted by what childcare costs without a membership; a gym that does not offer it comes after one that does. "Not published" means we looked and the gym does not say.
Plan the workout around the childcare hours on the card, not the gym's: they are shorter. And at Courts Plus, reserve an evening, because Child Watch closes at 5pm if nobody has.
